Are You Happy?

Getting happy is much simpler than you ever think.

“Are you happy?”

My friend asked me that after we talked a little while. I paused for a bit before I answered him “Yes, I’m happy”.

“Are you happy?” Is one of the simplest questions that you can hear from anyone and anytime. Although it’s simple, some people, myself included, also think a lot before answer it.

But, what is happiness, really? I have written about some happiness stories before, but sometimes I’m still questioning who makes me happy today.

Does happiness mean you do something out of your comfort zone?

Does happiness mean you meet your friends again after 1,5 years of this pandemic?

Does happiness mean you surprise your lovely ones?

Does happiness mean you are able to buy some stuff with your own money?

Those are some common questions when we talk about happiness. We often hear that happiness comes from ourselves. But, how do you know what makes you happy, if you live a normal life like me?

I won’t say this pandemic 100% causes me to spend my time at home. Before covid-19 existed, I preferred to do most activities at home, unless I really had to go out to buy some stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I love to meet my friends. I love to chit chat with them and gain new perspectives. Yet, I’m not a party person who goes out every day.
